If you are from Coquitlam, B.C. or simply a tourist, I wonder if you’ve been able to witness the Teddy Bear Grand Parade just held last Sunday, June 14, 2015 in celebration of the 26th annual Teddy Bear Picnic festival.
Gratefully, I did watch with the kids, although we were a bit late. Roughly we have missed one-fourth of the parade yet we still grab some perks and freebies given by the participating local establishments. It was cool though.
A bunch of cuddly teddy bears were on the parade, however, there were no giveaways of teddy bears. Hmmm… We would love to grab one if there’s any as a souvenir.
The image above shows a huge panda bear walking around with his companions.
There were several parade floats as well like shown below -the lovely dragon float and the flower one.
Of course the kids all time favorite Dora and Diego were there too.
In the next image are the veterans, showcasing their tiny cute motorbikes. They fascinated a bunch of kids sitting around us.
In the last image is my son with the lovely float behind him. He wasn’t in the mood when I captured this image. He likely turned into a camera shy from being a camera addict. Hayst, poor kid with a photo addict mom. Sorry son as there’s more photo shoot to come this summer.
I have tons of captured images to share, but maybe I’ll share the rest next time. The overall event was charming, my kids enjoyed watching the grand parade participants showcasing what they have to offer. I am looking forward to attending more fun events this 2015 summer.
